Hidden Place

"Hidden Place" is a reinvented, original piece. It's inspired by the song of the same title by musician Bjork. I love the lyrics "Seek solace, Sanctuary." Solace is such a beautiful word. Even though the song seems like it's about a person, I imagine it as a place in nature or a safe and magical place within oneself.

The print:

This is an original 2 colour linoprint. These prints are made from a hand-carved linoleum block and are all pressed by hand using a baren and wooden spoon. I used graphic black oil-based relief printmaking ink. After the print is dried, I hand-embellished the image using a red archival ink.
The print size is 6" x 6" on 8" x 8" natural white, lightweight 120 g/m acid-free paper. This is an open edition print. Each print is numbered, titled "HIDDEN PLACE" and signed on the front side.

There are also 2 limited edition prints in a colour variation of dark midnight blue oil based ink available. They're also embellished with red archival ink. See the second photo. Choose the midnight blue option for something different!

Each print will be shipped with a backing board, wrapped in plastic and enclosed in a hard mailer.
